Location: At the mouth of Cape Creek, 7 miles southeast of Wales, 100 mile northwest of Nome.

Climate: Mean precipitation is 12 inches; mean snowfall 45.5 inches. Snowfall usually starts in late September or early October and ends in late may or early June. Tin City is often very windy.

Visitor Facilities: For accommodations, contact Richard Lee, owner of the trading post and Tin City's only non-military resident. There is no food or lodging available to the public at the military site. No banking, restaurant or laundry facilities available.
