What time is my flight leaving from the village?
Due to changes in Weather and Loads, flight times may vary and you are expected to check the departure time from the Village with the Bering Air Village Agent on the day of Travel.
How much baggage am I allowed on a flight?
Effective Immediately: REMOVED the 1 bag limit!
- Checked bags FREE up to 100lbs
- Over 100lbs: Excess baggage fees apply.

- Checked bags FREE up to 50lbs including one small personal item.
- Baggage exceeding 50lbs will be charged $1.00 per pound with a maximum baggage weight of 150lbs per passenger.
EXEMPTIONS: Strollers, mobility aids, medical devices travel with passengers free of charge
NOTICE
- Any oversized items, or single pieces weighing over 50lbs must be shipped as freight at the freight counter and will be subject to freight rates.
- Baggage must match the name on the ticket, and cannot be transferred to another passenger.
Does Bering Air provide Ground Transportation at the Villages?
Village Agents meet our airplanes specifically for picking up mail and freight, it is neither their responsibility to deliver baggage nor to pick up or drop off Customers at home or places of business within the village. Please make your own arrangements for assistance to and from the airport
Are taxes, airport fees and fuel surcharges included?
All Bering Air Fares and Rates include all taxes and fees There are no hidden charges
What is your refund policy?
Customers can request a refund by calling the Station where the ticket was purchased. The unused portion of the ticket can be refunded, less a $50.00 refund fee. We refund tickets to the original purchaser in the original form of payment. If the customer paid cash or check, a refund check will be issued in 3-4 weeks.
What is the policy on handcarries and freight shipments?
Cash is sent at shipper’s risk. Shippers are required to declare the contents of the box/envelope. Names and phone numbers are required on all packages and hand carries. The hand carry fee is a minimum of $30.00.
Do you offer Bereavement fares?
Bering Air offers bereavement fares to eligible passengers who are traveling due to death of an immediate family member. Eligible family members include: spouse, daughter and son (in-laws), parent, brother, sister, half-brother, half-sister, stepparent, stepchild, grandparent, grandchild, aunt, uncle, niece, and nephew. (No cousins). Tickets purchased using the bereavement fares are non-transferable and non-refundable. We do not offer bereavement fares for inter-village travel. Please call for rates.
